Comcast Corporation Complaint - Does Comcast have any respect for their customers?
KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE -- I signed up for a deal for Digital Cable, HBO, and Internet for $60 a month (for 3 months) with a Comcast dealer here in Knoxville. He said that the installer would be there to hook up the cable two days later.
Three weeks later, he shows up, hands us the installation disk, hooks up an analog cable to the back of one TV and gets a bad picture. He said that always happened with analog cables. He hooked up an analog cable to the other TV, and the picture was crystal clear. I asked about it, and then my 16-year-old son asked why it wasn't digital, and he left.
I called the company to send out another technician to fix our internet and bring us a digital box, but one didn't come. I called the salesman and he installed it for me. A SALESMAN!
The equipment and service was fantastic, until I got the first bill. $118.97! That's not what I signed up for! I then called the company, and they said that if I paid it the overcharge would be credited to my next account. So I paid it. Next bill: $118.97! Is this legal? I paid it to give them one more chance, and I liked the service.
After that, the internet got a little slower, the On Demand started freezing, and the digital box was overheating! I called a technician, and one came when I was at work on Saturday. My son was home, and apparently "they couldn't go inside a house without an adult present" WHY NOT! I GAVE MY CONSENT. Next bill they didn't pay, and they were rude when they came back for the equipment.
And I didn't even want HBO!
I believe this is breach of contract, and I'll pursue a lawsuit if I can.
