Comcast Corporation Complaint - Comcast - Many way to try to get more $$$$
SEYMOUR, INDIANA -- I recently changed cable and internet service from Comcast to Cinergy Metro net. In the process I save about $30 for comparable product, along with being able to get the Big10 network.
This was not the problem, somebody else offered a better service at a better price. That was it. But, after cancelling my service thats when the problems started, and here they are.
1) I had to drive 25+ miles to return my cable box
2) The next month I got a bill charging me $300 for not returning my box. 1 hour later and many phone calls with proof receipt for the return box my account was closed.
3) The next month I got a bill charging me $150 for not returning my cable modem (which I bought myself). Comcast tried to rent me my own cable modem a couples times while I had their service, both requiring calls to credit and straightening out my bill. Anyway, another hour and multiple calls I think they are going to close my account again.
I am so mad, and it is approaching harassment that I am going to investigate if there are class actions suits against Comcast for (in my case) continually trying to get $$$$ out of me.
Thank goodness I finally could have a choice, now I hope Comcast will leave me alone. By the way, this is my attempt to tell everyone about Comcasts pratices
