Satellite Dish Installation - Complaint
BENICIA, CALIFORNIA -- I had an appointment scheduled for weeks and 30 minutes into my 4 hour window a supervisor calls to cancel. You know what it takes to get ready...carpets covered, furniture moved, stereo equipment pulled out, babysitter, etc. And their so confident/arrogant because their installing a good product they think their are no consequences for this wide spread incompetence. Just google IRONWOOD+DIRECTV and see what you get. The only reason I googled them is because I couldn't believe their pathetic service. Now their management can't figure out what happened to cause the cancellation...another words, their own internal investigation can't uncover the problem. Pathetic!
In fact, I think they were one one's who installed a DirecTV dish on a flat-top house with a membrane roof...yep they screwed lag bolts right through it!
Since finding how wide spread this is, as a landlord of SFH's in the Bay Area, I will be advising property managers & other landlords to perform an internet search. Maybe 100,000 rentals in the Bay Area might be enough market share to get DirecTV attention!

i'm an installer for ironwood the problems with ironwood go all the way up to the top. first off they pay their supervisors next to nothing a good field tech can easily double a supervisors pay. most supervisors are techs who couldn't make it in the field who else would take such a low paying job. second and this is a major problem at directv also what patton called the swivel chair crowd we are constantly told how to do our job and what our priorities should be by people who have NO !! IDEA HOW TO DO IT our focus has been shifted from installing systems to paperwork, selling extras, and hooking up phonelines. by the way the phoneline is for order pay per veiw with the remote and game lounge NOTHING ELSE!! when you call directv you again deal with people paid next to nothing and you get what you pay for.the around all of this is to call directv and tell them you want the address of the president directv calls this an OOP office of the president you will have to write a letter or an email but trust me you'll get RESULTS !! AND REMEMBER THERE ARE BAD TECHS OUT THERE but not all and with such management as we have it's amazing there are any good ones!!
