U.S. Art Company, Inc Complaint - BROKE my statue and will NOT refund shipping!!
RANDOLPH, MASSACHUSETTS -- U.S. Art Company, Inc. BOTH packed and BROKE a valuable bronze statue on 09/26/2007 during shipping. U.S. Art has admitted in writting in an addendum they broke the statue w/further damages. U.S. Art has harmed my family financially.
The damages have been invoiced at $1850-for restoration. My husband and I will eat the $1850- cost to repair since the statue was not insured.
However, we need to be reimbursed for shipping charges in the amount of $909.59. U.S. Art has failed to deliver the statue at the destination address which we paid for. U.S Art promises on their website "museum quality service transportation, commitment to quality service and excellence, expertise to handle all of the details in the coordination of your shipments". We did NOT receive this service with our shipping and experience with the COO. Why should U.S Art be allowed to profit off breaking our statue, packing the statue wrong, and leaving our statue at the restorers and not our home address which is what we paid for. They also left us with over $2700 in expenses after restoration because of their admitted incompetence. I really hope U.S. Art does what is right/fair/honorable and refund us our shipping charges for $909.59.
The COO, Mark Silverman will not return my phone calls nor emails on this matter. Therefore, I cannot get my statue sent to me.
