HATTIESBURG, MISSISSIPPI -- I bought a toyota 4runner in 2000, it was the second 4runner I have purchased, I have also owned a toyota celica and have recently purchased a toyota tundra. I guess you could say I have always been loyal to toyota. The most recently purchased toyota 4runner on my last trip started jumping into gear so I took it to my dealership to get checked out. They are now telling me that it needs a new transmission and that because I have 72,000 miles on it that it will cost me $3500.00 Plus labor to fix. Toyota refuses to help at all with the repairs even though they can give no explanation for the transmission going out.
It also doesn't matter to them that I have been a loyal customer for the last 10 years. I can tell you it's the last toyota that I will ever buy.
