Nissan of Fairfield Complaint - Dishonest Dealership

Review by jon bomb on 2008-01-19
FAIRFIELD, CALIFORNIA -- Nissan of Fairfield is not the place to buy your next car! They are very dishonest and shady. We found them online after specifically looking for a pre-owned black Kia. The description of the vehicle said black and the dealer we talked to said it was black. We drove over 2 hours to their dealership, we got there in the evening. The car appeared to be black and they assured us it was black. We bought it. However, the next morning when we looked at it in the sunlight, the paint color was a 2-toned black/purple color-not a nice color!

We immediately contacted the dealership and spoke to the sales manager Ron. He said he would see what he could do, he did not call us back. So we drove 2 hours again to try to return the car. When we got there Ron refused to take the car back. They lied to make the sale. Now we are stuck with car we don't like.

I would have had them pull the car inside the service department to see the color "under the lights," especially if you were unsure...and the dealer has no responsibility to you to "take the car back."

Geez. I'd give that sales manager a FIST SANDWICH. aerocave, I can't believe you condone the action of the sales manager. You portray yourself as and "Honest Person" from a previous post. If that is in fact what he told the customer, he should in fact take the said vehicle back. It seems that sales manager was going to tell those folk anything to get their signatures and deliver that vehicle. I would have stopped payment on the downpayment. Here in Maryland the customer has 72 hours (3 business days), to cancell a retail sales installment agreement. Poor folks got the shaft and you think that's ok. A FIST SANDWICH TO YOU !!!

They are not in Maryland, they are in the Republik of CA.
Ya gotta have sense enough to at least be sure of the color of something, if it's that important, before you buy it.

The Nissan dealerships should realize people work hard for their money and people are tired of being rip-off
My husband and I both bought new vehicles, we are very disappointed especially in the finance person who kept adding service on when my husband would tell him he did not want it.
I bought my vehicle at the same dealership approximately 2 weeks later and was so pressure I end up buying a vehicle that is out of my price range and a color I never would of never consider.
The finance person told me my finance charge was at a low rate then 2 weeks later he raise it, I end off paying off the vehicle with my savings with out the satisfaction of at least getting the credit score, they seem to busy to answer my question I emailed to them but they have time to fill our mail box with papers of items to purchase from them. it has been a night mare in our expense. I have been cousling with the BBB and the national co. corp.
The dealership dishonest and unprofession service is not worth the vehicle, go elsewhere..
