Macy's West Complaint - Return issues - Returns
Resolution Update on 01/24/2008:
comments are of no value, the readers of the board are extremely immature.
EL CAJON, CALIFORNIA -- Having worked in retail, I understand a store's concerns for being continually ripped off by scam artists trying to return stolen, stained, old merchandise, etc. I attempted to return several of 8 items I had purchased at the El Cajon Ca store just 2 days prior. I had ALL tags still attached, the receipt, the bag, and the credit card that I had used. The cashier proceeded to tell me that the pants I were returning were not the same as the ones listed on the receipt. (They were). After much protesting, I got the 19 year old manager to give me my refund. The price was listed, the brand, the style, etc. This is the only purchase I had made in months, and I bought it all at this very same register. When I had them scan the returned merchandise to show them that the numbers did indeed match, I got nary a "sorry" or anything.
I hate being treated like dirt by a store where I am there ideal target market..great credit, good income, need to dress professionally for work, blah blah blah. This really makes me think twice about shopping at Macy's. The customer service is abominable.
