Diamonds Are Forever Informative - But The Refund Isn't

Review by GothicSmurf on 2008-01-21
Did you buy any diamond jewelry during or after 1994?

If so, you might be titled to a small refund depending on how much you spent and how many other stones are on the piece.

Min to get refund $96 per diamond stone only piece or $166 multi stone piece.

Very interesting. My ring wasn't from DeBeers does that mean that if I wanted to I couldn't qualify? My guess is it's only for people who got their jewelry from that particular retailer and not just any store as the article doesn't specify that. Very interesting information though for those who purchased from there.

I would shoot for it anyway. I think (but I could be wrong) the DeBeers were the largest importer and sold their diamonds to others. From what I read they have been a monopoly for the last 7+ years. So you could qualify.

I probably won't send anything in, those receipts are long since gone.

I checked out the claim form and basically your refund depends on how many claims they receive. If your refund amount is $25 or less...you won't receive any refund, because adminstative costs would be too high. I thought about trying it out, but guess it's not really worth the hassle! Great post...thanks!

It's easy to fill out the online claim. It took me less than five minutes.
