Best Buy Complaint - Geek Squad, waste of money
LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA -- Bought a new computer at BestBuy, decided to use their set-up service ($129), so I could just go home and fire up my ready computer.
Get home, turn it on, get 3 different error messages. Huh? Didn't the Geek Squad notice those when they booted up the computer?
Called to ask "what's up with this?", was told all the errors were easy fixes, could be done over the phone or online....... for a price!
Huh? So basically I paid $129 to ACQUIRE a problem and was asked to pay the Geek Squad more money to fix THEIR mistake.
I would've been better off simply loading the software at home, even if I got the same error messages, at least I wouldn't have paid $129 for them.
I feel like a chump and am reminded of the BestBuy Geek Squad's incompetence every time I turn on my computer and get those same error messages.
