Sears / TGE Group MP3 Players Complaint - A piece of junk
I purchased this TGE MP3 player for my daughter for Christmas. It worked great for about 2 days now it won't hold a charge at all. I contacted Sears about the MP3 player (thats another terrible review that I will be writing.) They told me that since it was past the 30 days for returns there was nothing that they could do. They did provide me with two numbers where I could contact the maker of the player. Neither number was worked. One was to a company that does not make any electronics and the other was just some guy. I finally found a website and it instructed me to simply download some new software. I did as instructed, about 3 hours later (and I have high speed internet) I had everything downloaded. It seemed to work. I charged that battery on the player and gave it back to my daughter. She listened to it for less than 5 minutes before the battery was completely dead again.
There are no contact numbers on the website. And the only e-mail address they provide you with you don't get a response to.
My daughter doesn't have the one gift that she really wanted for Christmas. I did a Google search and apparently there are a lot of people having similar issues with this company. Save your money, don't buy TGE MP3 players and if you want decent customer service don't buy at Sears!!
After sending an e-mail to Sear's Corporate Customer Service I received a call from my local stores manager. She explained that the store associates had been told that electronics that were purchased as Christmas gifts could be returned to the store for 30 days after Christmas.
She apologized for the associates behavior and told me that I could bring the player back into the store to exchange it. She even extended the date.
