Home Depot Complaint - Horrendous Customer Support
ILLINOIS -- Purchased custom wood blinds, given a time frame for delivery which came and went. Made several calls to the special orders desk for which various personnel tried to obtain accurate info about my order but were unsuccessful. They were given many different stories from the supplier, which were passed on to me and I finally got fed up and requested a manager who could be firm with their supplier and demand a definite delivery date. The CS rep just laid the phone down and asked the manager to talk to me (did not put me on hold) and the manager was told the entire lengthy story and then the manager yelled at the employee and told him that he needed to talk to me, he would not, as I was mean! How could that be? I never spoke to the manager yet. Needless to say, I cancelled my order and demanded my deposit money back (and was that a fight). Also during this period, I ordered an Elkay stainless steel sink, the deepest they make, and it was to be shipped from their warehouse. Well I received a package and the packing list said it was my sink ($700 worth) but instead it was pots and pans!
After calling the store and the warehouse, no one could figure out how I got the pots and pans as the warehouse that carries the sinks does not carry pots and pans. Big mystery. The dept. manager told me to keep the pots & pans as a consolation, they would ship out another sink then the warehouse refused to let me keep them, they needed them back. Why? ... they don't stock them so how could they restock them? Store manager was never told of these issues so they could try to resolve them. Stay away from Home Cheapo!!!!!
