MacMall Complaint - Rebates on Products and Shipping-False

Review by falsemalled on 2008-01-24
MacMall advertised $150 rebate on Mac Book Pro Laptops and Free shipping for orders over $500 Placed before 11/21. On 11/19/07 I ordered 3 Mac Book Pro laptops & 3 apple care extended warranties which entitled me to 3 rebates of $150 each since each laptop was for a different person. On two separate orders I ordered 3 external hard drives, wireless key board & mouse, and 3 plastic protective cases. Total shipping was$107.98. I got an instant rebate on the 1st Mac Book and filled out two separate forms for the 2nd and 3d Mac Book Pros. I received only one rebate of $150. I filled out three separate forms for the three different shipping orders. I received two checks for a total of $79. I called several times and left messages for my Account executive and e-mailed him as well. No Response. I got a call from a new AE from Mac Mall on Jan.24,2008. When I asked her about the money owed me. She said that I did not qualify for the rebate or the shipping because they gave me a discount on the Apple Care.

I have copies of all paper and e-mail correspondence from this company. Each correspondence details my eligibility for rebate and free shipping. Not a trustworthy company.

As a rule, rebates are only one to a household. You may have gotten burned by this fine print.
