Mazda Complaint - Ripped off or not - Mazda3 warranty, motor and transmission

Mazda3 warranty, motor and transmission - Complaint
Review by gere on 2008-01-25
KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE -- I own a 2006 Mazda3 hatch back, after just three months and less than 5,000 miles, the motor started to make a noise. I took it back to the dealer, they checked it and said Mazda was going to replace the engine and not even check for anything else.

This pleased me greatly, then after another two months an 2,000 miles, the transmission went out. I drove it to another dealer ship one that I had not bought the car from but had had a bad relationship with and hmmm they said whoops abuse. they said all the gears were out, no reverse, no clutch, and fly wheel was burnt. Well remember I drove it there with the following problems, raked going into third gear, and hard to get into reverse. Well Mazda said ok we will fix it but will not warranty the transmission again, I agreed and paid over $500 for clutch and labor.

Now the motor started making another noise, I took it back in and after two weeks the dealer ship called and said that the DSM said abuse. I disagreed with them, they said that well based on when I had the transmission fixed this is what it looks like to them. After furnishing them will all the service records every 3,000miles etc. and even a report they filed the last time I took it in saying all was well, they changed their mind now and Mazda is saying well the oil was low or no oil. I know this is not true, No warning lights or alerts ever came on, and when the noise (the same as the first time) started I checked the oil then. The car had to be towed in and is now at the dealer ship.

If I ever get this fixed I will never buy Mazda again. You know I did like the car to start off with but with all this trouble with Mazda and getting it fixed I am having second thoughts.
