Ashley Furniture Complaint - Black Durapella dye, caused nerve damage
A, MASSACHUSETTS -- I bought a black Duracell living room set made by Ashley furniture. It was guaranteed that the dye would not come off, but it did. Now I have nerve damage to my foot and face. I contacted the company and they had the furniture picked up by an environmental company. I was also contacted by there insurance company Liberty Mutual, from a representative in the Environmental Claims Department. I have supplied them with medical records , documentation and photos. Yet they have done nothing. I was offered $1,500.00 which seems like a very small offer for nerve damage which causes me pain 24/7.
However I did get a threatening letter from there attorneys, KOSTNER, KOSLO & BROVOLD LLC. I was told to cease and desist, not to post my issue on this web site and that they had fully investigated and found no merit to my claim. However I have not been supplied with one page of documentation to substantiate that they have done any investigation what so ever. Also my wife started having severs breathing issues shortly after getting this set that subsided once we got rid of the set
I will be getting an attorney and I will be bringing a litigation. All there threats did was piss me off.
