TaxInc Informative - This compay is a fraud!!!!

Review by bsarc9454 on 2008-01-31
I hired TAXINC to help me with an IRS situation. They gladly took $4200 from me which I really didn't have. This was in October of 2006. Today is January 2008 and the have done absolutely nothing to help me good or bad. They have not contacted me in any way. People, look out for this company. Total Fraud. Have contacted the BBB with a complaint. They totally lied to the BBB in their response. Am filing a complaint with the FTC next, then the attorney general. They had a power of attorney to stop all the action the IRS was about to do. The IRS still garnished 90% of my wages. With 5 children in the house, this is hard to handle. When you contact them, they do not respond.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I am now considering a lawsuit.

90% garnishment? I seriously doubt that. There has got to be more to your situation than you are telling here.

As far as "tax relief" companies go they are ALL a scam. Anything they can do you can do by dealing with the IRS yourself.

Sorry TAXINC stole from you. Good luck suing them to get it back.

I agree with chuck. Most of these places are scams and do nothing to help you with your IRS situation. Your best bet when something like this happens is to contact the IRS and work something out with them. If you are willing to work with them they have many programs for people like yourself.

I agree the 90% is a bit of a stretch. However is you have all your paperwork take them to small claims court since your claim is for $4200.00. Most small claims courts will take cases up to $5,000.00 now. It should cost less than $50 to file and serve.

Good luck to you.

I hope you get relief from TaxInc - see an attorney or at least check into small claims court. Just make sure you have all documentation (emails, letters, write down all you can remember about phone conversations, etc).

tnchuck100...yes my check was for $3409.00. they took $2979 which left me with $330.00. I have the check stub to prove it. I had a house payment due which i pay bi-weekly. I had $50 left after the payment

that really stinks, all the trouble you are having, but i thought there were laws protecting from that kind of garnishment? not sure, but i agree with the others, you absolutly need to take some sort of legal action
