Sears Complaint - Horrible Customer Service
MUSKEGON, MICHIGAN -- My father purchased a sweater for me from Sears. I removed the price tag because the sweater was a size small and I figured that it would fit. He threw the receipts away. I tried it on last week and it was too big. I went to the nearest Sears store to return the item for a smaller size (XS) or a different sweater all together. The sales clerk would not give me the time of day. She told me that with no receipt and no tags I couldn't exchange it or do anything with it except keep it!! Keep in mind - the same sweaters that I wanted to exchange were right there in front of her sitting on a display. I have never ran into this with any other store. I was very dismayed. Now I have a lovely sweater that I can't wear because I'm swimming in it.
I also emailed the company and all I got back was "it's company policy" to not allow for such exchanges.
I had also brought back a couple of sweaters that I didn't particularly care for with the tags - no receipt - the day after Christmas. I could only get the sale price for them (keep in mind they drastically reduced prices of all clothing the day after Christmas) thereby losing over $100 that my father paid.
DO NOT SHOP HERE - THEIR POLICIES ARE NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY!
