Paradise Bakery and Cafe Compliment - Food and Service Top-notch

Review by Starlord on 2008-02-02
CHANDLER, ARIZONA -- The other day, after seeing a doctor and before picking up our Papa Murphy pizzas, I had to get as bit to eat, due to diabetes. We found a place called Paradise Bakery and Cafe. The atmosphere was very New Age, being peaceful and serene. The fare was very healthy, and the staff treated us like long lost relatives. I had the Garden Salad with raspberry vinaigrette and their Paradise Estates coffee, and Crystal had a huge Cinnamon Roll and a sodapop. While the prices were a bit higher than I would normally care to spend, the experience was worth it.

They had a poster with locations of other Paradise locations, and we decided we will eat there again. Two thumbs up.

I love cinnamon rolls. I make them with pecans in them. That salad sounds good too. I am so hungry.

I've usually had good luck at any restaurant/bakery establisment. A small, privately owned bakery started with one small outlet years ago on the NE side of Detroit. Through the years, they've expanded to four locations with one of them having a restaurant. I patronize them whenever I'm in their neighborhood. The owners are of Polish extraction, so that's their specialty, although the menu contains items as the salad you describe, also. Love their stuffed cabbage! The owner is my late uncle-in-law's niece, (Can you follow that?) so I've known her for quite a few years. Being German myself, some of the food is similar to the type my Great Grandmother used to cook.

Good review.

I'd never heard of this particular franchise but looked it up. They have a nice website but it appears they, with two exceptions, are only in the mid to Pacific part of the U.S. It sounds like a place I'd like to visit. Excellent recommendation for those living or visiting in those areas.

Hi, Crystal, thanks for asking. It's been a rough couple of weeks. Nothing that won't get better (I hope). If only we could divorce ourselves from family members as easily as we can end a friendship. :)
