Sony Electronics Inc Informative - Terrible Company Policies and Customer Service
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA -- We bought a Brand New Play Station 3 from EB Games store on Dec. 31, 2007. Three weeks later it stops working. The games and DVD's can't be read by the console. EB Games refused to replace it even with a receipt because they only have a 7 day return policy. They didn't even want to deal with the problem, they made us call Sony and deal with it on our own. Sony's response it we will send you a refurbished one. I am just so frustrated I paid $499.00 for a new Playstation and 3 weeks later have to settle with a refurbished one. Then I call Sony Customer Service to see if they received my broken Playstation and the guy you can tell doesn't want to even check the information. he told me it goes through so many departments that it's impossible to check. I will never ever purchase another Sony product again, and will never purchase anything from EB Games again.
Had I bought this Playstation from Circuit City, Best Buy or Costco they would have replaced it for a new machine within 30 days from the purchase date. Funny how Sony doesn't do that.
