Walt Disney World Complaint - Dispute/customer Service - Walt Disney World Theme Park Tickets

Walt Disney World Theme Park Tickets - Complaint
Review by ligarc on 2008-02-04
ORLANDO, FLORIDA -- The Disney Store charged me over $1900 for 3 days worth of base park tickets for 2 adults and 3 children. I was assured I was only being charged a one time fee of $980, but to my dismay, while I was enjoying a character breakfast @ 1900 Park Fair for my daughters birthday my card was denied. I spent half of my vacation trying to get my money returned. Guest services could not help, cast members on the hotel property could not help, even the store where I purchased the tickets could not help. I emailed Robert Iger CEO of Disney, no response. This extra money was supposed to be for spending while on vacation. Now I'm just fighting to get back what was rightfully mine to begin with. I have a quote directly from the CEO of Disney. "At Disney, each one of us is responsible for upholding our excellence and integrity. This means acting responsibly in all professional relationships, in a matter consistent with the high standards we set for our business contact." I don't feel anyone has yet to act responsibly on this matter, I do not feel that excellence was upheld, and I do not feel they are consistent with their high standards.

Oh how Mr Walt himself would be turning in his grave! Unless Disney can prove me wrong I will fight till the end to be heard!

I'm not quite understanding (but that could be because it's 1am and I can't sleep). But you bought park tickets for a one day pass at $900, or three day passes at $900? What did your tickets say?

How many of exactly what tickets are you talking about?
Posted by PassingBy on 2008-02-05:
Disney doesn't own any of the stores except in the parks and one in New York City. All the others were purchased by The Children's Place in 2005. Contact number is 877 PLACE USA

Regular gate price is $1019.00 +tax. How did they jack it up to $1900.00?

Did you get a reciept at the time of purchase?
Posted by GothicSmurf on 2008-02-05:
Did you purchase any other tickets for shows or anything else?

I have my receipts, what they did was charge me double. It's very difficult to get a resolution with Disney it seems. A lot of run around!

If it has been less than 30 days try and dispute the charge with your Credit Card Company or the Bank. That'll get Disney's attention.

The charge was not through The Walt Disney Company but through The Children's Place. You have been contacting the wrong people.

File a chargeback with who ever ran the charge thru and before your time window runs out like Gothic says. You will get someones attention real fast.
