Directv Inc Informative - Directv... Do Not Trust... Get It In Writing!!!
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO -- Long Story Short...
I've been a customer since 2001 with numerous upgrades and sports packages. I NEVER had a problem with them when I lived in Pennsylvania.
Moved to Colorado in August of 2007 and it took them 2 months to CORRECTLY install my service. Not to mention that the first tech at my house was VERY rude and swore at my wife! She called me at work and put him on the phone for me and I asked him to leave my home...AND HE HUNG UP ON ME!! He did leave without further incident.
Made numerous phone calls between August and October to have my account credited...and was told many times that I would receive credit for my service for August and September and an additional credit of $200 for my trouble. The person that told me this did not write that in the notes on my account...so they say it never happened!
I refused to pay my bill until the credits were reflected in my bill. My service was cut off in December and they sent me to collection for $882. I have sent and received numerous emails in the last few weeks to try and resolve this. Today, I received an email from "Abraham T." phone ext. 3278, and he quoted that I only owe $504.78. When I called in to DirecTV to make arrangements to pay this amount (by my figures, that is what I owe for service that I actually did receive) I was told that Abraham made a mistake and I owe $882!!!! I don't care if Abraham made a mistake...they should take it up with him!! That's the amount he quoted and I have the email to prove it!!! They still would not budge...
DirecTV has the most unreliable customer service I've ever dealt with. I'm not going to say "unfriendly" because they are VERY FRIENDLY, while trying to change their stories/lies and stick it to you!! Oh, and forget trying to speak to someone that has ANY ability to correct the problems...it's like a fortress to try and talk to someone with any kind of authority!!!
