JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. Complaint - Teller's continued refusal to deposit matured savings bonds into checking
PARK, NEW YORK -- I have banked with chase for many years. My husband also banks with Chase, as a business account. I attempted to deposit US Savings Bonds into my checking account, since they had reached their maturity years before, I encountered a teller who goes out of her way to inconvenience the customer. It was done to myself, I will not go to that branch anymore because of her, and not much to my surprise, she was the cause for my husband to travel 4 miles out of his way to do his banking at another branch. The teller stated,"If I take your bonds and they are sent back then I will have to debit your account." Nobody ever told me, when you get divorced, US BONDS will not be cashed unless given a difficult time because of name change. How ignorant can an employee of a bank be. Same SS#, Same first name, even same address. Teller was given a valid NY State Drivers License with exp date. Did anybody ever tell her a smile goes a long way. When I went to a different Chase branch, they were more than helpful no questions asked. When I presented this to the bank manager and her comment to me , which was,"Have a very nice weekend".
If I wasn't a professional, I would have had to respond! What makes a company as well known as JP Morgan chase keep such a low caliber employee?????
