Breyers Complaint - Ice cream - Breyers chocolate and vanilla checkered ice cream

MELFA, VIRGINIA -- I purchased a 1/2 gal of Breyers ice cream and when I opened it, it tasted like it had chunks of grease in it. I wrote the company and they did nothing about it. I couldn't take the ice cream back to the store so therefore I couldn't be reimbursed.

Is there anything else that I can to do to get a refund or a free coupon.

I would have taken it back to the store on my next visit. Most grocery stores are pretty good about exchanging/returning products that are bad. In my experience, it is usually no questions asked.

Spart is right, you shoulda taken it back. You should look for a 1-800 number at Bryers to call. Most food companies have such numbers for complaints and comments - you may get some traction that way. I've done that before and gotten a coupon for another product - but truthfully, why would you want it again?

Was this ice cream that might have been melted and refrozen? When there are power outages, supermarkets can be affected by them as well-no electricity means the store's freezers cut off. Once I bought a carton of Giant Eagle store brand ice cream that I had to take back because it was thawed and refrozen, and the ice cream was very gummy and greasy as a result.
