Broderbund Complaint - Broderbund is a ripoff

Review by belgarion0369 on 2008-02-09
I purchased, through Broderbunds online store the Morpheus photo animator program with a two year download and update extension in December of 2006. I was only able to use it for six months when it quit working. The program will no longer allow me access to it. I now get error messages that tell me that my program is no longer usable and I must repurchase it.

I contacted Broderbund numerous times and all I get is form emails and if you ever even try to call their customer service number you wait for 30 to 45 minutes then get disconnected by them.
I see by this site that Broderbund quite a few complaints about them.

I have filed a complaint with our Consumer Protection Division of our Attorney Generals office in New Hampshire.

[solicitation snip]

This company has costed me valuable time and money from lost revenue and I think it's time people cost them some money.

Also do not be hindered by any of the EULA agreements you may have signed with this company. I have been informed by the Attorney General's office that they are the ones who have violated their EULA's and therefore these EULA's are null and void and cannot be used as a defense by Broderbund or any of it's subsidiaries

A class action will get your lawyer a nice fee. You will end up with one working copy of the software. Not worth it.

Have you tried to reload the software?
