GM/Pontiac Informative - 24 Hour Roadside Assistance
I have a 2007 Pontiac Torrent, that 8 days after I bought it, was in for maintenance. 7 months and 5 tips to the dealer, it still has problems, the latest, I got in and it started fine one day, the next day I went to get in it and start it and it has a dead battery, it supposedly has a feature that if you leave headlights or dome light on, that it will kill it after 10 minutes to keep from draining the battery, obviously this didn't work. Now for the 24 hour roadside assistance(7 days a week), I called, on a Sunday afternoon, it to have them come out and jump the battery and get it started, they called me back 15 minutes later and said they could not find anyone to come out to my house. I said I had to go to work the next day, she said to call back about an hour before I would leave for work, so that they could get someone out there, and reminded me they are available 24 hours a day/7 days a week. So I called the next morning, they called me back again and said they could not get anyone to come out. I said I thought this was a 24 hours a day/7 days a week service, and she said "yes, it is", I said then why can't you find me someone and she said because they don't open up till 800 AM. I said what could is it, if you cant get service except during regular business hours and she couldn't answer it. We had thought about not renewing or AAA membership, but glad we didn't.
Could buy a set of jumper cables, but sometimes you need something beside jumper cables, so just remember, that GM's 24 hours a day/7 days a week roadside assistance, is really regular business hours, 6 days a week service. I am sure they added the extra cost to the vehicle, just another one of GM's promises that are true. They do not care about their customers, they only want your money. Now I know why GM is having so much trouble.
They need to get back to the basics and taking care of their customers.
