Chevrolet Complaint - Faulty fuel gauge
IOWA -- After the experience I had tonight I will NEVER buy another GM product so long as I live. I have a '99 Lumina with which up to this point I have been pretty well pleased. No major problems other than a water pump going out a couple of yaers ago and the fuel gauge quit working about a year or so ago. Which is usually no big deal, you just keep up with the fuel mileage to know when to fill up. But tonight my wife ran out of gas before the mileage was up which on a normal night would have been a hassle. But tonight it is 10 degrees with a 40 mph wind which makes it about -15 degrees! She had to walk a mile to the house !!!
There is no excuse for that #$$*!!@! Make a damn product that works all of the time every time!!!I shouldn't have to keep up with the mileage to know how much fuel is in the car. Next time I'll buy a Ford!!!!
