Chattanooga Mattress Complaint - Bait & Switch - Sterns & Foster Mattress Set

CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE -- At the end of September 2007, we purchased a mattress set from Chattanooga Mattress [snip]. The set was to be delivered by the end of the week as [snip] said he didn't have it in stock. Every week thereafter I called the store and was put off on the delivery date. Finally about 3 weeks later, [snip] delivery persons showed up with the wrong set.

My mistake was in accepting the word of these delivery men that Chattanooga Mattress would make it right. Since then, I have called and called Chattanooga Mattress and have been told that my mattress set is in and they will swap it when they are down this way. We live about 25 minutes from their store.

I believe they have no intention of delivering the right mattress set.

My advice, find out what the return policy is, if it's before the documented return policy, demand a refund and go somewhere else. It sounds like they have absolutely no intentions of making this right. Another thing you can do is either rent a truck or borrow a friend or neighbors, return the wrong set to the store and demand the correct set when you drop it off. If they don't have the right set demand a refund or file a dispute with your CC or bank.
