Sears Informative - Dryer Repair - Large Appliance Repair/Customer Service
RUTLAND AREA, VERMONT -- I can not believe that in this day and age Sears cannot provide better repair service scheduling. It is ridiculous to require that people sit home between the hours of 8am and 5pm waiting for a service call-- and a warranty service at that! I called the night before to find out where I was on the repairman's schedule--as I was instructed to do--- to get a better time frame of when to expect him. I was first on his list; the lady told me to expect him at 8am, but at 9:30 when I called the repair service to find out what happened to him I was told, no, his scheduled list may be off as he chooses which calls to do first and he had between 8 and 5 to show up. How frustrating! I will never buy a Kenmore again as there are no others allowed to do the warranty service, but Sears.
To give credit where it is due, the repairman was very polite and he did fix my dryer. Also, I was told they are now trying to have their trucks stocked with parts so they don't need to do repeat visits.
