Proform Complaint - 200 Lbs Of Equipment - Missing Parts I can't get
I ordered a Proform treadmill after talking to the customer service representative and going to the ProForm web site. This is an extremely heavy piece of equipment and it took me quite a long time to put it together and had to get neighbors to help me move it in the house. (The delivery people will not take up the 4 steps into the living room, which is not unusual probably, but would have been nice if salesperson or delivery people had told me that so it didn't have to sit in front yard until I could get someone to help me.)
When it was almost completely put together, it became clear a critical part was missing. I called Proform to have them send the part, and was told it was not in the warehouse with no estimated time of arrival. The customer service rep told me that if it ever did arrive, it would be shipped UPS ground unless she could get special authorization to send it faster (she didn't offer, I asked). Or course the one person in the company who could give that authorization was not there.
I asked if they could take apart a boxed treadmill to send the part since they did not have it. The customer service rep told me they would not take apart a boxed treadmill for the part until THIRTY DAYS had passed even though they did not have the part. She told me she would call me Monday morning to see if she could overnight the part to me if it ever DID show up in the warehouse. Of course she did not call.
Over a week has gone by and I am still looking at this useless and unmovable piece of equipment that I am paying for on my credit card... interest accumulating. I called customer service back today and as there was a wait, they would not even let me hold in line for someone to take my call. They said they would all me back. Yeah, I've heard that before. I would NEVER buy from this company again and I strongly advise others against it also.
