Sears Complaint - Billing Cycle Ripoff
My wife and I have always made it a practice to stay out to debt to credit cards. We were given a Sears Master Card since we do a lot of business with Sears. When we got our first bill we paid it in full and the result...they changed us to a three week billing cycle without telling us. When the next bill came due, it hit us before pay period and put us in a bind. We appealed and they told us we could change it back, but it would take two billing cycles. We got that rectified, bit the bullet, gathered the funds, and paid the bill. They said we didn't pay it before 5 P.M. on the due date (I don't get off work till 5 P.M.,) and all the interest is due also!
My wife called and tried to reason with them and the Sears Credit customer service representative was extremely rude and condescending to my wife. Isn't that just desserts for paying you bill in full and on time! Hey Sears, shame on you!
