Bank Atlantic Complaint - Over Draft Fee - Bank

Review by EROCKA on 2008-02-20
DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA -- I been with Bank Atlantic for two year and for the years I been with them it been the same old thing. Chargeing there clients 5 dollar a day if you go into over draft . I when into over draft by 2.55 Cents and they charge me 33.00 In over draft fees. If your account is in over draft for 7 day they start to charge you 5 dollar a day for 30 day, no other bank does this. Bank atlantic in florida is a rip offf I am now in over draft 151.00 Dollar because they want to charge me 5 dollar a day and close my bank account and seen it the the credit collection.I am fed up with banks trying to take money from the little people. I think it unfair how they just think about money and not helping people who help get there bank going.

Don't have an over draft and then there shouldn't be a problem.

So you think they should just let you write bad checks with no penalties? Think again!

Stop over drawing the account, you'll never have to worry about fees again!

Whether it's 2.00 or 200.00 overdrawn is overdrawn. I would suggest paying closer attention to your check register so that you don't put yourself in this situation. Sorry for your troubles but it's really your own fault.

Hate to tell you EVERY SINGLE bank does this.

This is the crux of the matter. Your account does not have enough available money to cover the checks you are writing. If you cannot keep track of how much available funds you have you will continue to be hit by NSF fees. This is not the bank's fault.

Sounds like someone isn't keeping a check register, either that or you aren't keeping accurate track of your account. My bank will do this also. If you don't spend what you don't have, then there will be no fees.
