Lifestyle Family Fitness Complaint - Club Tried to Change my Membership 7 Months Into It
BRADENTON, FLORIDA -- I had been at Lifestyles for 7 months when I walked in one morning and after scanning my card I was asked if I'd like to upgrade for $10 so that childcare would be only be $10 extra a month. No, I would not like to upgrade, my childcare is covered in my plan?!
When I initially joined the club the club rep told me everything was included in the fee I was going to be paying. I could use the equipment, take the classes, use the tanning bed, and put my child in the Kids Club.
Apparently there is "new management" (that's all the people could keep blubbering about) and they have JUST NOW SEEN that their rep included things in the membership plans that he shouldn't have been. This gentleman had recently been let go because of his errors. BUT its not MY fault that I was told one thing SEVEN MONTHS AGO and the club is just now figuring it out--and because of their screw up, they're telling me I have to pay extra????
It's not about the issue of money... had I originally been told everything I would have been paying it and been on my merry way. But to suddenly change my membership plan 7 months into it and its their own fault in the first place??? I don't think so. I left the gym and found another in the same day... a gym that describes all the charges and isn't going to renig on their initial agreement.
