SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIA -- I got this product for my son. To help him to become a better student. When I ordered it they told me that they would only take out of my checking account for s/h and that they would bill me. They have been taking $50.00 out of my account without my permission. I called and told them I don't want them to be taking money out of my account that I would mail my payment. They don't except any thing but taking it out of your account. They told me if I didn't let them take it out of my account that they would turn me into collections that I cant send the product back. I called them because it was not helping my son. They said I couldn't send it back because it's been over a month since I received it. It hasn't been a month since I received it, it has been over a month since I ordered it. I guess they count those 3weeks when you wait on it as part of your time. I don't recommend this product it is not worth $300.00 at all. You could buy all this product at Walmart for about $8.00.

It is such a waist of money. I was so disappointed with this product. And the way they treated me. I will probably keep paying this because of my credit, but I don't recommend it to anyone. I just wanted to let you know so you don't make the same mistake that I did. Thank you

Ya, this sounds like a bogus product. The only way to an A is good old fashioned studying! Didnt they explain the payment meathod to you when you purchased? I dont see how they could legally extract from your account without your authorization.

If you didn't authorize the additional charges, dispute it w/ your bank...I would call your bank's customer service to see what they can do to prevent further unauthorized charges.

This is not a complaint about the program, just their billing mathods. I just bought the system and it does break down how to study and how to learn in class. We are testing it out. I will report again in three weeks.
By the way I ordered it by phone and they did tell me up front about the payments being taken out of my account.

03/12/08 I called to purchase the product and was told that I would be responsible for the initial $9.99 shipping price and if I did not like it, I had 30 days from the time I received the product to return it and I would be responsible only for the cost of sending the product back and would not be charged for the cost of the product. I recieved the product on 03/18/08 and requested my RMA on 04/14/08. Shipped back on 04/18/08. I followed the return policy in 100% compliance yet there was a pending withdrawl of $64.74 from my account. I called the customer service line Jessica ext.391 and was told "I'm very sorry. I will forward this to corporate and you will receive a refund in 7-10 days." I told them it needed to be done immediately and they were not authorized to withdrawl any funds from my account. Transaction expired and was not posted at that time. On 04/29/08, a $64.74 debit was taken from my account by them. On 05/02/08 I called CS Eric AP171 to find out why yet again they had charged my account. He informed me that a reversal was issued on 04/30/08 for the full amount. I filed a discrepancy with my bank and was issued a provisional credit. The refund finally posted 05/06/08 but was only for $63.77. This was $0.77 less than they withdrew. I had to call yet again to CS Harry ext369 to ask why they are still illegaly holding my funds. I now have to wait an additional 3-5 days for my full refund. The 30 day "Risk free trial" is false advertising and illegal.
Resolution Sought: Simple Way is not customer friendly. They have there sights set on your money, not your child's education or needs. I would like an explanation of why they do not comply with their own policies, yet hold us to them to the letter. I would like the overdraft fee I incured of $16.00 refunded due to their unexpected and unauthorized withdrawl. I would like them to audit their financial transactions and refund any monies due to customers who were short changed, no matter how small the amount.

I ordered the program and it was nothing different than materials already provided by the school. I received a return auth and sent via UPS. They never refunded my $$, continued to charge me, then turned me over to collection agency when my card expired. Called the company to straighten out the mix up and they said they didn't know what happened, but they could do nothing to help me. Terrible service and marginal product. Don't waste your time or money. They are rip-off artists.

I heard about the product on the radio. They were so sure of their product that they offered to send the book for free. "How can I go wrong?", I thought, so I called. They gave me a long sales pitch and then took my info and then said there was a $12.95 shipping charge and they needed a credit card. After that, they said the price was $359 and that I could cancel at any time. That was a surprise. We went from free to $12.95 to $359. I knew I should have pulled the plug right there, but I wanted to help my son. The book arrived and it has some helpful information that is worth $13 but not $359. I don't know what else is supposed to be coming, but the packing slip indicates I have 4 $90 charges headed my way. I'll be calling to return the book if that's all there is, but their return policy says you need to return *all* materials including the original shipping box. That may be a little difficult. I'm not overly impressed with the product at this point.

I, too, ordered this & had a similar experience. I was told I would be responsible for the shipping charge, but never authorized, nor was told, I'd be charged 4 payments of $89.95 each. Won't go into the whole story (as I've already posted "my 3 cents" on this site,but I've just been credited 1 payment, and am awaiting credit of the 2nd. I disputed the charges w/ my credit card company, and submitted a complaint to the BBB, which may have been the impetus for the credit. There's also the Atty General for CA, as well as your home state. Don't hesitate to be the squeaky wheel! Good luck.

I'm on hold with these nuts now. I've been on hold for 47 minutes now. They charged my account after I sent them the product back. I'm contacting my credit union for them to issue me a credit because I didn't authorized these people to take my money. Guess what they must hung up because the call was lost after 48 minutes of waiting on the. Well they will be hearing from me.

I wish I'd read these complaints about a "Simple Way to an A" before I ordered it two days ago. I just received an email fromt them confirming that my order has been shipped! I have called my credit card company. I am emailing the "Simple A" company trying to get an RMA # to put on the package as soon as I receive it to send it right back. I'm at work right now and will call them tonight when I get home. I realize I'm in for a battle now............uughh!!

Same here... heard about the program on the radio, said the book was free for 30 days. I figured, why not? Went from free to $13 for S&H, and then it went to 4 payments of $112 each!!! I LOVE the CDs, they help relax the tension my son feels when it comes to studying, and the program is very helpful to my son, but, I do not know if it was worth the over $400 I am forking out for it. PLUS, I ordered it in Februar 2009 and it didn't arrive until the end of April!! I had FORGOTTEN about it, and all of a sudden, I had these HUGE payments being taken out of my account. I CAN NOT get ahold of a live person, and I have been trying for 4 months. Customer service SUCKS, the product is OK. Unless you have a child who really, really, really needs something like this, DO NOT GET SUCKED IN!!!
