General Motors Complaint - Faulty Speedometer And Tac!
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA -- Came to website cause I was investigating my speedometer problem. Didn't surprise me that I'm not alone. To make things worse my tachometer started going crazy too! And at only 60,000 miles. I've had cars with 200,000 plus that didn't have these issues.
Will GM pay my speeding ticket when I tell the cop my speedometer is broke and he says ya, like I've never heard that one before! Update:To answer the few questions I had,I did change tire size but problems occured previous to that. Exact symptoms include but are not limited too, tacometer spinning 360 degrees and speedometer just plain going dead after about a half hour of driving. Year of truck is 2004. As far as this GM special repair program I'd love to know the 800 number referred to in the last comment. I just brought the truck to GM dealer cause 4x4service light came on and the whole truck started to shake. It ended up being a bad transfer case control module at the tune of 450$. I had them look at my speedometer/tac issue and they said I neede a whole new instrument cluster at another 400$ I'm really starting to question my decision to trade in my Montana for a T-blazer.
