HYATTSVILLE, MARYLAND -- I ordered a new laptop from Dell and paid extra to have a tech come to the house to set up a network. tech showed up but did not seem to know what he was doing. After one hour of trying to connect me to the network, he left and told me that I needed to do a file transfer (??). I tried to do a file transfer and noticed that network had not been set up. Called Dell and they offered to send the tech back to the house. I told them that he did not know what he was doing, and since I had paid for the network set up, they needed to send someone who knew what he was doing.
Customer service told me that they would send another tech the next day, but I told her that I had taken a day off from work and could not take the following day off. She informed me that Dell would schedule an appt for the next Saturday.
When I did not hear from Dell, I called re the setup and was told the tech had not turned in the paperwork and they could not issue a work order until the tech that came to the house turned in his paperwork--a week later, I am still waiting to hear from Dell
