Time Warner Cable - Dallas Complaint - Time Warner Dallas
DALLAS, TEXAS -- It's been 2 years or so since I lost Comcast due to corporate whatever and I became a kool aid drinker with Time Warner. I have never in my life experienced something like this.
The customer service is in a category all its own (and I do shop at Walmart). The wait times for calls are ludicrous. Then you get some tech who tells you something. You hang up. It doesn't work. You call back and get a tech who tells you something completely different. That doesn't work either.
I had a period of about 3 months early last year when my internet was down most of the time. After FOUR tech visits, the problem was found at the main cable hookup by the TV. Techs 1-3 did not check it; Tech 4 said it's the first thing they're supposed to check.
Every single "improvement" these people have foisted on us is...well, not one. The latest example: taking away McAfee and forcing us to use CA Suite. It eats your computer. I've spent all morning trying to figure out why I can't log in to some sites. It takes half an hour to launch a simple program. CA Suite has also gotten horrible reviews. Thanks, TW.
The free movies in On Demand are a joke. With Comcast we had a nice selection. Now we get the Sundance Channel and about 10 pre-1950 classics.
I've left 3 messages with phone techs to have a supervisor call me. They all assure me this will happen within 24 hours. Guess how many calls I've gotten?
Anyone who is in a situation where Time Warner is about to become your new provider, run... don't walk... to whatever other option you can dig up.
