Belle Tire - Saginaw, MI Compliment - Honest Service - Brake Job

Review by old fart on 2008-02-25
SAGINAW, MICHIGAN -- I had occasion to have a brake job done on my 2001 auto. The brakes had almost 40,000 miles on them and I was hearing a grinding noise from the rear set. After all was said and done the noise I was hearing was due to a build-up of brake dust on the rear brake shoes.

They folks at Belle Tire did replace my front brakes and cleaned the rear drums.
It would have been VERY easy to tell me that the rear brakes needed to also be replaced but they opted to tell the truth and save me a fair amount of money.

Thanks to the folks at Belle Tire

Great post OF! It is so hard to find an honest mechanic. I'm glad they took the honest route rather than rip you off.

I read an article on cnn.com this morning that said Michigan is the leading state for unemployment. In a state where jobs are very far and few between it's no surprise that these guys will treat their customer's they right way. It is very hard to find people who value their jobs, most people think that jobs are dispensed like Pez. Get tired of one, find another. Good luck with that now a days.

Fascim sux... the total cost of the job was 250 but that includes front brake discs... When they tried to turn them the brake discs were manufactured so thin that they couldn't stay within tolerance. Most new cars are equipped with rotors that are so thin now that your lucky to get 1 turning at all..

My parents use Belle Tire in Howell, MI all the time. They always rant and rave about how great the service is.
