Ashley Furniture Complaint - Rude Assistant Manager
TYLER, TEXAS -- We purchased two sofas from the Tyler store. We were told by the saleslady, they were in the warehouse in Longview. The next day, we decided that we were going to wait until latter to purchase. We called the store and informed the saleslady that we wanted to cancel our order. She informed me that there is a 30% restocking fee. We HAD NOT BEEN told of the fee. I ask to speak to a Mgr., after 10 to 15 minutes a man came on and said the same thing. He said the sofas had already been order from the factory and he could not do any thing and hung up. I called back and asked were it was written about the 30% restocking fee.
As it turns out, I did not sign that piece of paper and I got to cancel my order. The 30% was on the back of the paper and that is not shown to customers. They, the Management (Owners) do not care a flip about customers.
