Video Only Complaint - Doesn't deliver
BELLEVUE, WASHINGTON -- I want to buy a 61" TV, specifically the Samsung HLT6176, so I researched around and found Video Only had the best price. Despite warnings from my friends I went in there and expressed my interest in the TV, but they were sold out. I was told they were expecting a shipment of 150 units and to come back in a couple of weeks to buy one.
I called them two weeks later and they had already sold out again... Ok my fault, apparently I should have bought the TV first and then come back two weeks later.
So I went into the store and said I still wanted to buy it and I paid for it on the spot. They said they would have more in a couple of weeks.
I called them two weeks later and they did not have any in and they didn't know when they would be getting them, "any day now" they said.
So I waited some more...I received a call the following Sunday saying the TV would DEFINATELY be there and could be at my house on Tuesday, "unless the truck driver decides to stop off at his aunt sally's."
I got a call Monday around noon. The TV wasn't there and they didn't know when it would arrive. "Maybe Wednesday or Thursday."
At this point I had had enough, a full 23 days after paying for the TV and I still didn't know when it would arrive. Not to mention a full 37 days since I had first walked into the store.
I called another local electronics store and they had the same TV, in stock, and for cheaper.
Immediatley I called Video Only and told them I would be coming in for a refund. The sales person who I had been working with didn't seem to care.
Sounds like they sell a TV, collect their commission and then try and wait out the 30 day return policy...
Scam? Maybe, but I definitely won't shop there ever again.
