Weinstein Properties Complaint - Bad Service - Apartment Housing

Review by TNannoyed on 2008-02-28
CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA -- I lived in the apartments for Weinstein Properties Bexley Creekside in Charlotte NC for two years. They are the worst apartments and business I have every experienced. My air conditioner went out and I did not have air for a whole week. Then when I decided to move and turned in my key they charged me $300 dollars for damages. I did not sign a form or anything because I was not present. I had no idea that I had damages.

Do not turn in key without being present when you do your walk-through. I am a professional who now owns a house but if I can help other people DO NOT RENT FROM ANY WEINSTEIN PROPERTIES.

Always be present during the walk through. And take pictures just in case they discover 'damage' afterwards.

Definitely be present for your walk through. Also, when you move in you sign off on an itemized check list of the apt and state any existing damage, this is used when you move out...any damages you didnt state on the list in the beginning, that are there upon moving out will be charged to you. they should give you an itemized list of the charges/damages. $300 doesnt sound like that much though, most places take that, or more, out of your deposit just for re-painting, cleaning, and carpet cleaning.
