Pep Boys Informative - Deceptive Repair - Auto Repair
On 2/25/2008 I had my car towed to Pepboys because I had problems with the power steering. I also needed the right tail light compartment replaced. It took 4 days for them to perform the needed repairs. Each day I called them for a status. I was repeatedly told they were either waiting for the parts, they had the parts, they received he wrong parts and then finally everything was completed. I picked up my car and on the way home I realized that my turn signal was still making noise. When I got out of my car to look I found that the tailight was not working. I returned to the store and was told I had to wait for them to check it out.
Finally I was told that they were distracted and had not replaced the tail light at all. I had paid $120.00 for a tail light assembly and $89.00 for installation that was not done.
If the obvious repair was not done How do I know that the new Hose Clamp was actually put on the steering wheel? Maybe all that was really done was adding the $4.00 fluid which the Tow Truck Driver assessed?
