Dish Network Informative - I thought I had a good deal
CHILLICOTHE, MISSOURI -- I've had DN for almost 7 years. Thought it was great. I had never had a problem with them at all until last month.
My receiver was going out, always getting a "smart card" error message. We'd shut off the receiver, take the card out, put it back in, turn back on and all would be OK for a bit. Finally last month decided it was time to get new.
Called up, and all was going smooth. Had to continually tell them I didn't want to upgrade, just replace. Then I said I didn't want it put on my credit card. Switched over to someone else and ended up with a fantastic deal, or so I thought. Free receiver, free installation, credit my account for the TV I may miss due to faulty receiver. Great deal huh? Set up appt for them come install on Feb 2nd.
Feb 2nd, waited from 12-5, no one showed.
Called, rescheduled for Feb 9th. No one showed.
Called, rescheduled for Feb 16th. No one showed, called, complained, got a free month of Dish, and said they'd mail the receiver in 7-10 days.
Every Saturday I sat at my house from 12-5 waiting.
Called today to see if it had been shipped. Nope, hadn't been shipped, seems they are backordered! Of course they offered some "deals".
I told them to shut it off, enough was enough.
Can't get a receiver to my home in a month, but it took them less than 3 hours to shut it off.
