Hewlett-Packard Company Complaint - STAY AWAY!!! - Photosmart 7850
I first bought the 7250 about 3 years ago. For the first two months I had it, it was a great printer. Then it started jamming paper, dumping ink and having all sorts of problems no matter what "maintiance" HP told me to do to it. Finally toward the end of the year warranty I took it back to the store I bought it at and demanded a new printer. They graciously agreed. (Staples) and I was happy for about another 6 months, till that printer started doing the same thing. Well by this time my one year was over, but I had purchased the Staples extended warranty and again demanded a new printer. (this was after numerous go nowhere conversations with HP) Staples didn't carry the 7250 anymore so for an additional $25 I could buy the 7850. Worked fine for the first few months I had it, then it went into storage (back in it's original packaging) for a few months and when I settled into my new house it got unpacked. Worked fine for a month, then when I went to print a photo (what I originally bought it to do) no such luck, wouldn't accept the cartridges, had tons of conversations with HP and them sending me new ink only for the problem never to be resolved, finally a friend of mine got it to at least print black and white text pages, but I went to print photos again and guess what...no matter how much alignment or cartridge cleaning I do, I still have lines running through my photographs! I WILL NEVER EVER BUY AN HP PRINTER AGAIN!!! This company offers no support, wants to charge you out the wazoo for tech support and then blames you for various reasons the printer went "bad." I keep a clean desk, no dust, and only use my printer occasionally through the week. NEVER AGAIN, and I hope you never do either!
