Hewlett-Packard Company Compliment - How To Get Quick Service (revised Sep 2009)
Revised: September 3 2009 My conclusion is "You can't get quality service from Hewlett Packard", not anymore. Having been a long term employee of HP (now retired after 34 years) I remember many years ago when founder Bill Hewlett had installed speed bumps in the HP parking lot up on Page Mill Road in Palo Alto California. The employee's hated it since it slowed them down and caused undue frustration. They made their voices known and Bill Hewlett listened... and had the speed bumps removed. Many years have past since that time but managers within HP have continued to install "Speed Bumps", this time for their customers. Getting prompt service has slowed down drastically causing frustrations like non other. Please read the many complaints that others have had dealing with HP's help desk. From my recent experiance in dealing with 13 different people from techs to supervisors to case managers I have come to the conclusion that all of the complaints I have read are true. If you think you are frustrated with your computer having a problem, just wait until you have a few sessions with HP's Customer Service. The only difference in the Speed Bumps today from those years ago is that somebody listened back in those days; they don't listen to customers today. If you have any suggestions on how HP can better serve your needs please let the CEO Mark Hurd know of them. You can google HP CEO and put your comments in writing. Good luck !
