GTL*Advpay Prepaid Complaint - Failure To Provide Service

NEW JERSEY -- The phone company has deducted their fee from my account yet when my loved one tries to call me the service indicates that I have insufficient funds for the call to do through. At first I was angry that he had used up a week's worth of calls in one day. But as it turns out the agency withdrew the money today but the account hasn't been updated.

What really infuriates me is that there is no live individual at the end of any of their phones to provide assistance. The service states that they are experiencing a large volume of calls please call back. This has been going on all day.

I don't want to put additional money on the account if it is not going to be credited to my phone account.

I have contacted the Public Utility Board in my state, but just being able to vent has helped to lower my stress level.

These are just money making operations who have little regard for providing a quality service. My suggestion is to write letters to your loved one and avoid this expensive hassle.
