Southwest Airlines Informative - Southwest Airlines is not a good company to work for
MANCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE -- Southwest airlines is a great airline to fly with but the worst company I have ever worked for. I started there during a busy season , winter time, but the trainer was not able train anyone because she was too busy working changing fights.
The training program was really pushed (not the trainer fault) while my trainer had to perform her job because she was too busy..
During my first night in baggage claims I was repremined the next day of a damaged item .. because I didn't report it on the computer .. The reason I didn't report it on the computer is because I was not told to report it , I was in training but was taken into the ofice and was scolded with three other employees watching on.. To me this is not very professional..
My trainer needed take a day off and the person that was to fill in for my trainer had marital problems going on and didn't even show up after our lunch break and was late for other breaks as well. I was expected to continue on which I did the best I could.
But then 2 days later they told me I was leaning on my trainer too much (give me a break)..
During my traing period The supervisor asked me two days in a row why I was on break. I could not believe the disrespect..
To her question I replied very politely "I was told to take a break by two other Customer Service agents"..She came back at me that she was not trying to dictate me...I said nothing .. I was on probation for 6 months..So what could I do..
I went home and really thought about this and decided I could not work for a company that treated their employees with such disrespect. The other employees were all very nice but this one supervisor was so rude..
So I had to resign from a job that I had always thought would be perfect.
I was very disappointed because of all the reviews I had read about Southwest Airlines they were supposed to be the best..
