Hotels.com Complaint - Dishonest misleading middlemen
NEW JERSEY -- I want to warn everyone there that Hotels.com is MISLEADING with their reservations. I recently reserved a hotel room in NYC for my wife's special Birthday weekend, and told them I absolutely needed a king size bed. They told me they would take care of it. 2 days before I called the hotel to confirm, and they told me I've got 2 double beds and king is sold out!
I told them that this wouldn't work, as it was a special night for me and my wife, and they said there was nothing they can do about it.
I ended up having to go to another hotel to salvage the weekend, and Hotels.com still charged my cc $ 240 even though I never used the room. Later I filed the dispute with cc, but was unable to get a refund.
Lesson learned: HOTELS.COM WOULD SAY ANYTHING TO YOU TO GET THE SALE, MAKE FALSE PROMISES, AND YOU'LL NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU GET. NO MONEY BACK, EITHER.
DON'T USE HOTELS.COM FOR YOUR HOTEL RESERVATIONS - CALL HOTELS DIRECTLY. THESE ARE DISHONEST MIDDLEMEN THAT WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY.
