Good Times Informative - Is It Just Me Or Are They Just That Nasty?

Review by 15910 on 2008-03-07
DENVER, COLORADO -- Just wanted to hear from others that have eaten at Good Times. I have been there countless times trying to find something that I like from there and so far nothing has satisfied me but the lemonade. As fast food places go they are way down the list for me. Their fries are horrible, the burgers taste weird and always seem to send me to the "water closet". The Bambino Burgers? Give me a break, if I had it my way I might give them 75 cents for a regular sized burger. Their service is always polite and prompt. I will give them that much.

The other day I got the Peppercorn Ranch Chicken with Bacon Sandwich and I thought that I had finally found something good from this joint when all of a sudden I bit into the bacon! It was saturated with salt to the point that I couldn't eat the sandwich unless I removed it. Surely they don't add salt to the bacon so I guess that is how it is prepared by the supplier. Doesn't anyone taste this stuff before selling it?

As I'm reading the title, I thought you were referring the TV show, "Good Times." No I haven't been to that place since I don't live in CO.

ZZ my step-dad ate there when he was in Denver and he didn't like it either. He said the fries tasted like they boiled them in oil. Hubby went there when he was visiting one of his navy buddies and he said the burgers have a weird cardboard taste to them and they are salty.

Never heard of the place...but I certainly wouldn't eat something named Bambino Burgers. I'll stick with the Basher Burgers!

Should have used sea salt. So I take it they aren't DYN-O-MITE?

Wonder if Ted Thompson will stop by, seems he's got a bit of time on his hands these days - being out of the race and all. *tears*

What pirate??? I'm not sure how that would make any sense even if you got his name right.

That's funny. I always thought fries were prepared by boiling them in oil. I will have to watch more closely. Of course, Crystal gets the fries at the frozen food section of the store, then spreads them on a cookie sheet in the oven.

I can't understand why you would return to a restaurant 'countless times' if it's as bad as you say...? Doesn't make sense.
