TeamHealth Complaint - Billing For Medical Services That Never Took Place

Review by canfabllc on 2008-03-08
MIDDLETON, IDAHO -- Team health is an account managing company from what I can gather. They are attempting to collect on a bill from a doctor whose account they maintain. The only problem is that the services never took place. I ended up going to another hospital for help with my injury because the ER doctor never did show up in the room where I was waiting with injuries that I found out later were fractured ribs.

After endless attempts to satisfy their requested information needs and filing complaints with the attorney generals office, the BBB, the hospital where the doctor was and just about anyone or anything else I could think of I just today got another bill from them in the mail.

Did you sign out AMA? If so and you have the paper that you signed stating you signed out AMA take it to the hospital along with your records from the other hospital you went to, they time stamp everything so there will be no dispute you were actually there, and ask to speak to a billing representative, if you get nowhere with them, speak to either a patient representative or hospital ombudsman, and if you get nowhere with them speak to the director of the emergency room.

Thanks for your comments. For some reason I can't get back to your page to leave you a message. I in fact did not sign anything when I left the hospital. I told the woman at the desk that I was going somewhere where I could get some help and gave her my name. After another round with teamhealth and contacting the BBB they finally looked it over again and called and told me there had been a mistake. After spending endless hours trying to resolve this the BBB must have been the answer. Thanks, Daniel
