Bangor Car Care Complaint - Repair issues
BANGOR, MAINE -- In October 2007, I purchased 1998 Ford F150 for 8300.00 with a limited warranty from Bangor Car Care in Bangor. In November, had problems with shifting. Bangor Car Care took the truck and replaced something. Maybe one or two weeks later the same problem occurred, they then replaced the slave cylinder.All this time they would not supply a loaner car which was needed to go to work and they also did not charge me. I guessed it was because of the warranty. The next month, the same problem. Bangor Car Care then told me they would not fix it, to take it to someone else and I could use the warranty there and that the problem was not covered under warranty (even though they had already attempted to fix it twice). I had another repair shop fix it and it was not covered. They also had to replace the slave cylinder that Bangor Car Care installed. The next month, I am again having the same problem. Bangor Car Care has now told me to take it to a transmission place. In the meantime, Bangor Car Care fixed it twice (out of the goodness of their hearts? or was it defective?) and now refuses to fix the original problem.
The people there have been rude and extremely unhelpful including the owner who told me he didn't handle any of this, that I needed to talk to the service person.
I feel for this kind of money spent, that some type of customer satisfaction should be forthcoming. This vehicle did come with a limited warranty and a big payment.
