Elwin TV Complaint - Deceptive Warranty Provider

Review by snake doctor on 2008-03-12
WARWICK, RHODE ISLAND -- Purchased the most expensive washer from Lowes with a 5 year warranty. After 1 year had a defective door part. Called warranty provider which is Elwin. They came out after two weeks and had to order 3 parts. That was in early Dec 2007. Came out in Feb 2008 with parts, the repair man came down stairs to install part, opened box and found that the part was cracked. Said had to go back and reorder. Every time we call we are told it is back ordered. It is now March 12th 2008. called on MOnday and was told part will be in this week.

Most likely Sat delivery. Based on research from the many other complaints this company needs to be investigated by the State of RI for fraud.

Buyers beware of warranties from Home Depot and Lowes on appliances, if Elwin is the provider do not spend the extra 3 to 4 hundred on a extended warranty. I plan on bringing legal action over this.
